شارك كل من د. عارف وزوز ود. رائد عمرو بالمؤتمر العالمي في مصادر الطاقة المنجددة والذي نظمه مركز الطاقة /الجامعة الاردنية بالتعاون مع جمعية الاعمال الاردنية الاوروبية ومركز الابحاث الدولية للطاقة المتجددة في المانيا ووزارة التعليم العالي fبتاريخ 13/3 الى 2/4 2009، حيث كان الهدف من هذا المؤتمر هو ايجاد منتدى مناقشات وتقييمات عميقة تراعي التطورات في مصادر الطاقة المتجددة من شمس ورياح والكتلة الحيوية وكفاءة الطاقة ومصادر اخرى على مستوى البحث العلمي والتكنوولوجيا وتطبيقاتها في المناطق الصحراوية والمؤتمر هو أفضل منتدى للاكاديميين والعاملين في مجال صناعات الطاقة وذلك من اجل الحصول على أرضية مشتركة وعامة للنقاش في المنطقة.
حيث قدم كل منهما على الترتيب اوراق علمية بعناوين:
1. The effect of nicle pigmented aluminium oxide selective coating over aluminium alloy on the optical properties and thermal efficiency of the selective absorber prepared by alernate and reserve periodic plating tecgnique.(Dr.Araef Wazwaz)
2. Power electronics devices in electrical alternative energy sources.(Dr.Raed Amro).

Dr. Jamil Itmazi from IT Center of Excellence at the Palestine polytechnic University has been selected as a Member of International Program Committee and a Reviewer of two Conferences: the “4rd International Conference on Interactive Mobile and Computer Aided Learning (IMCL2009)”, which will hold at Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Amman – Jordan, and at the “eLearning and eResearch in the Arab World” Conference, which will be part of the “5th Congress of Scientific Research Outlook in the Arab World: Scientific Innovation and Sustained Development”, which will hold in Fez-Morocco in the period 26-30 October 2008.

Internal Incentive Research Grant workshop |

Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research DGSSR has organized a workshop of three hours Tuesday 26th February, 2008, which has been organized as part of the many activities accompanying the Internal Incentive Research Grant in benefit of the researchers and staff at the PPU, during this workshop researchers who won the grant in 2006-2007 have disseminated their research work in presence of many researchers and beneficiaries in other universities and institutions. Dr. Khatib has assured that Palestine Polytechnic University is adopting a leading policy in supporting scientific research despite of all the Financial difficulties the university is experiencing nowadays, Khatib added that DGSSR and PPU will continue supporting the research projects in the future. |
